In 1995 I graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in Graphic Design and Photography. I worked in Chicago in the digital field for over 7 years. Despite being able to stretch my creative wings and a quick move up the corporate ladder, I was unfulfilled.
I took a step back and returned to school to pursue teaching. I taught for 5 years. All along I continued to keep my creative stride by jewelry making, drawing, sewing, knitting, painting, photography, scrapbooking, stamping, the list goes on and on. I became a crafting junkie, moving from one to another, intense and then waning.
Life moved on, I was blessed double portion with a loving husband and a baby boy. I stopped teaching to take care of my family. A couple of years ago my sister planned a jewelry making baby shower for me and my girlfriends. I was hooked. I have been making jewelry ever since. I would make pieces for myself and for friends and family. I started selling some of my jewelry on etsy.com and ebay. I have customers from Brazil, Germany, Japan, and even Australia.
Now I am a WAHM (Work At Home Mom) and love every minute of it. Being home to raise my baby is the best gift I can give him. My son is a wealth of inspiration and joy. My work gives me a creative outlet and I truly enjoy knowing that something I made with my own two hands is being worn all over the world.
